What you can do?
Learn place value.
* Ask your child to draw a specific amount of dots.
* Write a number and ask your child to draw a specific amount of dots.
* Draw some dots and ask your child to count and write a correct number.
Introduce doubles (one addend on one side and another addend on another side)
* 1+1
* 2+2
* 3+3 ...
Introduce doubles plus one
* 2+3 as 2+(2+1)
* 3+4 as 3+(3+1)
